In this video, we build a Windows XP computer based on an Intel motherboard and an Intel Core 2 Quad CPU.

I swear XP runs on anything. I have it running on an i3-3240 with a GT710, SB Live, a 32GB SSD for Debian 10 and a 500GB HDD for XP (split in two, second half is a shared disk). 12GB RAM too.

I have a Optiplex 755 MT and awhile back, I upgraded it to 8GB Ram, Core 2 Quad Q6600 and Nvidia GT 720, Installed XP, it ran beautifully. No longer has XP, its a Hackintosh now....

Nice! You can still activate Windows XP using the OEM license if you are planning to reinstall it on one unless the proper drivers are installed with Ethernet connection.

I've built a Core 2 Quad XP system too, around a Q9650, with a BeQuiet! ShadowRock LP cooler, 8GB G.Skill DDR2 1000 memory, Gigabyte EP35-DS3R motherboard, EVGA 2GB 750 Ti SC (with backplate), Sound Blaster Audigy Platinum SB0090, SanDisk X400 256GB & 512GB boot SSDs, 1TB & 2TB WD Black storage HDDs, Lite-On DVD writers and a 3.5" Sony Floppy Drive. It's all built inside a Cooler Master Elite 370 case, with a Scythe Kaze Master KM01-BK fan controller, and an EVGA SuperNova 550 G2 modular PSU. Got XP Pro 32-bit to dual boot with 8.1 Pro 64-bit, and installed the unofficial SP4 to activate XP.

Still prefer optical media to install everything though, as Easy2Boot seems to be anything but easy. ;-)

I have 2 found free HP xw4300 Workstation PCs they run windows 10 64 bit just might try XP on them as well but just wondering what's the best thing XP does nowadays? I have a RADEON HD 5450 - graphics card - Radeon HD 5450 - 1 GB to.

Hey Billy not sure if you saw my comment on your 2010 decade over video but if you still have the Packard Bell with the motherboard that has the socket 7 with the broken latch I found a website where you can rebuy the entire socket 7 itself even ram socket and pga sockets. If interested I can give you the link and for less than 10 dollars you can replace it if you or someone you know has some good soldering stills can get it back up and running again. so it is a circa 2007-2008 Computer since its a core 2 duo
