Imagine running Windows 11 in VM when you have Windows 95 as the OS. That would be insane for such technology like that.

Windows is so frustrating at times, had an assignment i worked on for 9 hours, i locked my pc and went for a break only to find out that windows decided to go into auto update. After like an hour of updating what do i found out, MY FILE GOT CORRUPTED. I literally fought the urge to break my pc

Win 11 is death. I hate it. I despise it.
All I want is my PC, without the bloat. I don't need their endless AI, I don't need them to gather data, or diagnostics, etc.
I am willing, and did, pay for Win 10. So I don't see why it's ok to make me into a product.

Windows 7 was great. Still have it on my 2011 ASUS - yes, it's alive and working.

I still ran xp on an airgapped machine until about a year ago just to avoid shelling out hundreds for a software license for the same software ported to work on later operating systems.

There are countless enterprises out there and probably a lot of small businesses like mine still running xp for for the same reason or because there isn't even a new version available of the software they need.
