Hi everyone!
I would like to share you some tips of what are the things you need to do in the next 2 weeks when you arrived in Canada.
1. Keep the COPR Confirmation of Permanent Residence (The COPR is issued so that you have proof of your permanent residence status and your date of landing. It records your entry into Canada as a permanent resident. If you are already in Canada, the COPR may be sent to you, so you can “land.” If neither option applies to you, you will receive it at the port of entry)
2. Obtain Government Documents / Cards:
a. SIN to Service Canada Centre
3. CHANGE OF ADDRESS:
5. Obtain a Mobile Phone Plan / Pre-paid or Post Paid / BYOP
6. Open a Bank Account: Savings Account / Credit Card
7. Be Aware of SCAM
8. JOB SEARCH WEBSITES:
10. SAVE! :)
