The wizard101 community is way to small to be toxic and its a shame to see this is what pvp has become.

the more people leave the queue the worse these problems will get sadly. idk why the devs want there to be such a huge barrier to entry for pvp. if there were more people in the queue i would imagine it would become harder to manipulate.

I noticed a higher frequency in people who falsely report others. Happened to me, happened to a friend of mine, it’s really annoying. The toxicity in wiz needs to change

Haven't played wiz in like 5years now

Replying to your title: the makers of wizard101 can't fix that, having people that plays this game is what makes this game

I got told my purpose as a storm wizard was to spam enchanted tempest every round otherwise I wasn't "locked in." I spammed power nova instead.

We know the most toxic thing in wiz and it begins with R and ends with D.

Yeah… I encounter toxicity time to time… And every time I see it, I am unappreciative of it…

Someone got mad at me for explaning why they lost and the bad moves they made when I was literally trying to help them improve. Some of these players just can’t be helped and will be inherently toxic since its a 1v1 setting.

I've stopped posting max because of royal decress from a certain loudmouth to get my strategies banned. I'm glad you're back. You're one of the last legit players in the arena.

Now, my brothers and nephews and nieces only queue on our own merits. No coaching and cheating. We basically scale ourselves down compared to the PVP mafia. We basically live in their heads rent free. We work full time in high stress jobs so my family and I always fight in a nerfed mental state.

But you've fought me on my work-free days and you know how I fight when fully rested.

I only ever did pvp for the female commander robe. That was the only way for female wizards to get that robe for the longest time until it was introduced on the crown shop. I don’t feel any need to pvp anymore. I’ve always done PvE content ever since I first got into the game in 2011

Yeah, step one is saying out loud theres an issue. Next step is actually naming and shaming. Especially if its gone on long enough; least thats what AtS did yesterday on stream.

If anything good will come out of console release its that i know switching over has a chance of not running into that shit group lol. And ive really wanted to learn pvp but whats the point if thats the experience?

"Toxic" is just an overused buzzword that means nothing, because it's always applied to everything. I couldn't care less if people talk shit in a game, it's a video game, and things were infinitely better a decade ago at the peak of the Xbox 360/PS3 days than they are now. Even with Wizard 101, I don't really care, because it's never actually been a "kid and family-friendly game, " that was just a grift by KI.

I wouldn't call these issues with PvP "toxic, " I'd just call it cheating. People who're caught sniping other players against their will should just be put on a three strike system, and after that third one, you're banned from PvP until the next season, the same goes for people avoiding matches with each other specifically to gain and not lose rank. We can, correctly, say it's hard to nail this down so KI isn't punishing the wrong people, but if KI was just actually on-top of the PvP scene, it wouldn't be a big deal. If KI did their job and policed PvP enough to prevent these problems, then yes, naturally there'd be some innocents caught in the crossfire, but it wouldn't mean that much because KI would just swiftly be chatting with the player to gain evidence one way or the other.
