fritz the first got the freedom titan first, before the girls do it. the first 4 is respective to how ymir felt as she died in stages. Desire of freedom (attack or freedome), desire to control others (founder), desire to understand (intelligence), and desire to protect (armor). Each titan split, the original form stays intact and weaker forms are made. Warhammer came from armor titan. it has less stamina and fortitude but can shape its armor. but this means the attack may have never been split, and that would mean fritz kept time hopping to get to ymir and get her to give him the power to come back and take it for himself with no opposition.

My theory is that every side effect that comes with being a titan shifter has to do with the hallucigenia creature reacting to Ymir's life.

For example, Ymir's curse is that every titan shifter dies at age 27, because Ymir died at 27, similarly, the hallucigenia touched Ymir's spine, so titan powers are passed through spinal fluid.

I don't think King Fritz had any idea what he was doing, but the creature inside Ymir made it work.
