Building An Ultimate Traxxas Hoss! Pt.1 | RC Driver

The Traxxas Hoss was an RC truck that shocked me and maybe many RC enthusiasts. This RC looked similar to other Traxxas platforms currently on the market, but they made a few tweaks to it. Those few tweaks turned it into a serious basher beast! I had a lot of fun driving this truck for the test and for some backyard bashing runs, but it was, well, stock! We can’t have that. So Greg set off to build an Ultimate Traxxas Hoss. Traxxas has a ton of options available to customize the truck, so Greg started the ordering process and kept with a red, white and blue theme for many of the parts. Very nice build. I should do a video of my Hoss build. I went for more of the driving experience and tuned allot of things. Even went as far of getting rid of the center differential and installed a slipper clutch so would stop doing endless wheelies! But overall the Hoss are fairly solid vehicles, mine has seen the skatepark dozens of times now.

What people don’t know is that traxxas metal axles have more resistance to torsion than their plastic ones so metal ones won’t just be more durable but also faster

I love my hoss but I kept breaking drive shafts. Ive used stock, and all the upgrades versions. once i got the front to stop breaking 2 minutes into a bash the rear started breaking. Going to gather up the parts to try again this season. If not then I give uo and go full on crawler side of the hobby.

I got tekno springs for mine, out of all the parts they make with colors gtr shock springs are only available in white lol, the white looks good on yours tho, nice build 👍
