You are 100% correct I also like m40x sound signature better than the m50x...It was a mind blowing realization..However, with a headphone amp the m50x sound really Incredible... but to me still too much bass and the treble can be at times be overly bright. Piercing

I have the ath m40x and it sounds absolutely incredible the clarity is just so incredible at any volume I use it with my computer and it sounds absolutely beyond incredible

Which one would you recommend for long session and comfort. I am confused between Sony MDR 7506 and Audio Technica M40X. Audio quality is not my priority. Comfort is my main focus for long sessions. Thank you in advance!
