Animation and Anime are booming globally, which means there are an abundance of potential opportunities for voiceover actors. With so many studios dedicating creative resources to the genre(s), gathering knowledge about various aspects of the business is vital. This VO Lab Panel will focus on Voice Acting in Independent Animation Features and Japanese Anime Dubbing, and will feature a group of experts in the field that will share their insights and expertise. There will be important things to learn for actors at all levels of skill, experience and commitment.

Michael Sinterniklaas is a SAG-AFTRA Actor, Voice Director, Dubbing Producer, ADR Recordist, Mixer and Studio Owner-NYAV POST (Funimation, GKIDS, Production I.G).

Stephanie Sheh is a SAG-AFTRA Actor, Script Adapter, Casting, ADR Recordist (Funimation, GKIDS, Production I.G.)

Ned Lott is an Animation Producer, Voice Director, Casting Director (Studio Ghibli, GKIDS, Disney/Pixar, International Animation Companies Triggerfish-South Africa, Wizard-Russia, ThinkLab-Spain, Flame Node-China, Mili Pictures-China)

I heard Netflix signed a deal with SAG-AFTRA for the dubbing of foreign contents. Does that mean that every anime Netflix licenses will be union dubs from now on?
