Mazda CX-9 2021 review: GT SP

When you want a large SUV for a family, the Mazda CX-9 is right up there, traditionally combining style with size and comfort. This 2021 refresh of the CX-9 is no different.

I test drove the CX-9 GT SP which is a new model that’s been added to the range of six, and it’s third from the top. This GT SP costs $67,490, before on road costs, and competes with cars like the Kia Sorento and Toyota Kluger.

I test drove it for seven days with my family of four, for this week’s family review.

Tough choice should I just buy the current generation which my local dealer is discounting over $8, 000 or wait for the next gen cx90 which is coming out this year end? What I'm afraid is the too much change that will make the current gen look old and dated. Example Land Cruiser last gen vs new gen wasn't that different exterior, so an old gen is a better buy.

That's sunroof is the same size as the one in my 96 civic. For a car this bug that sunroof is pointless.

Agreed why couldn’t Mazda think of the third row passengers including dogs that need the air conditioning in the back section. I wish I wish.
