The CX9 is probably the most underrated 3 row SUV, at least from an overall sales perspective. It originally wasn't on my short list until I started reading the user forums. Ater 2 long test drives of all the popular 3 row SUVs, I was sold on the CX9. There are alot of comments in some of these car videos about the CX9 not having enough interior room. While it is true the CX9 is a little smaller on the inside, it wasn't as significant as the excellent driving dynamics and overall reliability. It is important that buyers determine which of the vehicle's characterisctics are most important to them.

I really enjoy your reviews. It's like you have a buddy who is really into cars and you just go for a drive with him while explains lots of the cool stuff. You are casual, informative, and fun.

Great review. A few things to add. The Radar cruise control (adaptive cruise control) stops and starts automatically with its stop and go feature, so no need to gas, nor brake after it stops. You may need to hit the resume button if you have been on stop for a short time. Also the tailgate has a foot sensor underneath to open and shut it.

This is now based from a 5 year design (introduced in 2016 MY) and while getting old it is still admired and gets compared to newer 2020/2021 designs which says a lot about Mazda’s Kodo design which has aged very well! Can’t say the same about other vehicles in its class!

Mazda looks great, however we do love our 2019 Highlander. We bought our first Highlander in 2001 and still have it. 196, 225 miles on it. There you go!

I know I just tagged you in my Instagram post but; this review and your Subaru acent review were extremely helpful and key into my choice to go with a Mazda CX-9! You covered everything I could ever ask and showed the high trims on both. Thank you so much Zack, couldn’t be happier with my new 2021 Mazda CX-9 (touring with the premium package) . Appreciate you man!

It’s 227 HP and 310 lb-ft; premium gas will make it 250/320 respectively

Thanks for the review - subbed. I was on the fence about pulling the trigger on the 2021 CX9 GT, but this is the motivation I needed.

I would definitely choose a CX9 over a Tahoe for a family hauler

Great review! This car is beautiful. It’s number 1 on my list for next year to buy. With Jeep Grand Cherokee (already have one) coming in second and lastly the rav4 (everyone has one though)

We are considering leasing a CX-9 GT. Thanks for the great and enthusiastic review. I agree with 99% of what you said about this great SUV. I do differ a bit on the Bose stereo. We are currently leasing a 2018 Mazda6 Signature and the Bose Centerpoint system in the 6 sounds noticeably better IMO. Outside of that I agree with the rest of your assessment. The dealer I am working with is giving us a great lease. The Acura and Toyota dealers cant touch this lease on a comparably priced RDX and Highlander.

Your 2019 Mazda 3 does have the connected services. It was an update with a recent recall/software update. And u enroll after that thru the MyMazda App. I just got it working yesterday, on my '19 Hatch.
