Star Citizen is an open development, crowd funded project from Cloud Imperium. Consisting of 2 games, Squadron 42 a single player, story driven campaign putting you in the middle of the Vanduul attacks as an up and coming UEE Navy pilot, and Star Citizen, a highly detailed
first person MMO set within a persistent universe where there are no limits. This includes, space, and ground aspects, massive spaceships with full interiors and interactions, a full dynamic economy which reacts to the players actions allowing for anything you can imagine.
It is all being built on the StarEngine (a modified version of Amazon's Lumberyard Engine).
Please bare in mind that this is heavily WIP and in an alpha state in which much of the foundational tech to make it a reality is still being developed. Both games do not have set release dates yet but you can play the alpha build for the PU MMO which makes consistent progress
with quarterly patch releases throughout the year.

I am an independent content creator and a fan of the game, I am not paid by Cloud Imperium however I do accept ships from them to giveaway to my community but this will by no means influence my opinion or what I say and believe about the project.

Firefighter technique - Chaining... Send two out in front of you, and have a third spraying the first two with the coolant to keep them from burning while they both clear the fire progressively

It would be neat if some jump points and some massive ring shaped stations encompassing the jump point

i think once ray tracing, multithread rendering and maelstrom damage come into game, this fire system is going to be so awesome. and once they finalise fire tech and add it to everything. Would be cool to see forrest fires and grass fires.

I can't even play until they fix some of these bugs, like the one with the hangar elevator double-dipping for EVERY pull. And CONSTANTLY hearing other players hangar sounds. That one alone is driving me insane.

The jump point gate looked amazing. Hopefully we see some in the future. Who cares about how it would work? What happened to the rule of cool?

🤓🤓 Well ackchyually it is the fire tetrahedron, don't forget about the uninhibited chemical chain reaction... Lol. Would be cool to see them incorporate that in the future

fire is going to make people think about having a crew on their giant ship. I think its going to be a good addition

Using a ring structure near a stable Jumpgate will handle two things. One control. Sips won't be able to activate the Jumpgate with a primer shot from a Ship's Quanton Drive to activate, instead, the Ring will do that and you will just align to attune to the Jump. The second is Defence, a Ring with 360-degree weapons from Torpedos and missiles to Beam and Ballistics that would be devastating even to a group of players or NPCs like XZenos/Pirates and large enough to house a lot of ships of any size. Second comment blames the coffee.

Seeing as there are Hangars on some of those structures either side of the 'Avenue' leading to the Jump Point, I am wondering if they will be in use, as serviceable Hangars for ships to land in?

This fire tech really is a remarkable technical achievement. Most devs wouldn't even attempt something like this and CIG has done it, on top of every other remarkable thing they're putting in the game.

I hope they let you dump the atmosphere/life support inside a ship to kill the fire. Wonder if you can have a tank in a Herc. or other large ship, open the back hatch and fire off in the tunnel

So... about fire. Your ship's life-support system can refill an extinguisher, suggesting that it produces or stores whatever goes in one, but nobody thought to build in a fire-suppression system to do it automatically?

I want to know how adding instanced hangars broke the existing code for running the trams at planetary landing zones? Or are they sneaking in changes to trams needed for 4.0 into 3.24?
