You did not really explain why she has become such a big deal. I think it is a combination of things: she is Fearless, Genuine, Articulate, Hopeful, Attractive, and very high energy. I suspect she is becoming one of the most important figures in politics today.

The thing some people don't get is that AOC is for the people, both Liberal and Conservative. If people look at polling on certain issues, the majority of people are for the very things AOC is fighting for. For example, even Fox News has said that the majority of people are for raising taxes on the rich. Those people include both Conservatives and Liberals alike. AOC wants to do that similar to what was done in the past that worked well. Both sides want better, more obtainable healthcare. AOC is for Medicare for All.
