I hate everyone using the argument. "Back in the fifties and sixties the tax rate was this and everything was fine." Well no duh. WW2 JUST ENDED. So how could foreigners compete? France destroyed and rebuilding, Germany destroyed and rebuilding, Italy, Japan, Great Britain, Soviet Union and so on. Think about it. Lol who was making a car on the global scale during the fifties and sixties? The U.S. then notice it took 30 years after WW2 for foreigners to get in the free trade boom and sell cars. Lol the axis powers now exist in the auto industry. Plus remember in the fifties and sixties China was blocked because they were and are communist. So how could company's move over seas until Nixion fixed relations with China. The problem isn't taxes, the problem is inflation, the radically different technology we have now also changed the economy a lot.
