I like AOC. I think that is is a HUGE mistake for Democrats to marginalize her. This is where the country SHOULD be headed. But I cringe whenever I hear a candidate say that he or she is not accepting contributions from corporations. It literally IMPOSSIBLE for any presidential candidate to turn down corporate money. Corporations CANNOT contribute DIRECTLY to ANY campaign. And the maximum donation by ANYBODY is $5000 dollars. Corporations CAN contribute to super PACs, but a candidate has no say in how a super PAC gets its money.

I really hope as she becomes an important political figure in Congress that she continues to reject corporate funding. I imagine its a hard thing to pull off to get anywhere w/o that kind of money and power but I believe she won't give in to business controlling politics for their own gain by giving politicians money.

i agree with aoc that money in politics is a problem. but what she may not understand is that universal health care has its own big money donors, and government planning usually benifits the biggest corporations. This has been evident since FDRs new deal. right up to obamacare, whi h favored the top insurance Co's
