Hi Zybak,

Been watching your videos since the feral druid times but never ever commented. I loved watching your videos when I was a teenager and WoW was a big part of my life. When I quit playing as I got older and interested in other things, I stopped watching your videos. However, about 2 years ago I stumbled upon your channel again and saw that you were still making videos which was a huge nostalgia trip. I could not help myself and started catching up and viewing your videos again.

The main reason for commenting is that I always really liked you and your videos back then, and the old WoW days are still a particularly happy period from my youth. To then see your personal development and the journey you've made serves as a major inspiration for me. Over these two years, I've seen you voicing your opinion about critical matters affecting our society, encouraging critical thinking, and overall promoting a very healthy lifestyle & mindset. I get the feeling that you are a dangerous first principles thinker, voluntarily or not. I am just so happy that you seem to be doing very good for yourself!

All the best from Sweden,
/Carl

Man, that old photo of you takes me back man, lol. I'm happy that you lost the weight all those years back and you look great. Hopefully this can inspire some others out there to make the change.

I remember your podcasts and loved those videos and hearing about your progress. You helped me a ton with inspiration and to actually get my shit together to hit the gym (been 5 years since I started taking care of myself).
Happy to see how much progress you've made over the years and that you've actually kept on going!

I commented years ago on a fitness video. Time flys lol I was a trainer at the time and now I’m a manager of a few trainers at a corporate gym. You hit all the “pillars” of fitness lol.

Support system is tricky! Easier when someone is single and can control most of the variables! Some peoples problem is their significant other 😊

the rotisserie chicken from the grocery store is a lifesaver, as long as it isn't sauced to the gills.

Sound advice, same conclusions I've come to over the last 10 years. Some extra things that work for me, delay first meal until lunch (aka intermittent fasting), do not eat a full meal before working out (have an apple or something), drink coffee between meals to curb appetite (nicotine gum also really works as well but that's a bit controversial), stop drinking coffee 6 hours before bed (adjust depending on how it impacts your sleep), do not eat 3 hours before bed, do not snack. If you're doing an "optimal" exercise but it causes pain that leads to injury, then you should adjust the exercise to address the pain or look for alternatives (I'm looking at you squat/deadlift/bench).

I was always chubby but hit 240 after covid and had to fix my life. Got down to 170 by eating the same 3 meals every day and adjusting. If you say "i cant do that i need variety." Thats bull, youre making excuses to not lose weight. Either you want it or you don't. I always tell people to pick 3 meals you consider healthy, and only eat those same meals for 2 weeks. If you lose 1-2% of your bodyweight per week your in a perfect calorie deficit. If you gain weight you know you need to lessen portions or change a meal. If you lose more than 2-3% bodyweight per week you need to up your calories by a few hundred because steep deficits are highly likely to rebound.

When you said you used to work 65 hours a week what kind of job was it?
Did you have a phyiscal job?
I have an office job which really has an impact on my daily calorie output.
I try to make up for it by walking to the office and going on walks on lunch break.

6-10 hours of sleep. Even if I don’t set an alarm and have no obligations I rarely sleep anymore than 6-7 unless I’m I’ll. The largest sleep study showed that people with the greatest longevity sleep 6-6.5ish on average. Think people only sleep longer if they are unhealthy or are recovering from illness or excessive strain from sports/ lifting or even consolidating a lot of new information from intense studying. Can’t see an average healthy person needing anymore than 6-6.5/7 at a push.
