I love how Robert actually liked and respected Ned more when he’d cross the line and break his balls despite the fact that he’s a king. Must’ve taken Robert back to the days when they were each other’s equal and he enjoyed that.

US Army veteran here.
We did similar stuff to 'cherries'... new guys.... by constantly sending them on stupid errands. My personal favorite was 'Go get the key to the hydrostatic lock'. Hydrostatic lock is when water gets into a vehicle's fluid systems [transmission fluid, oil, what have you]. There is no 'key'. You drain the contaminated fluids and replace them. But the battalion motor sergeant had a 'key to the hydrostatic lock'... a tiny tin diary key chained to a cinder block, the whole painted International Orange. It was a great big sign screaming 'I AM AN IDIOT'.
