LITERALLY!!! I hate when people describe me as feminine even if they mean it in a nice supporting way, yes i like pink and bows and such but why not js use my pronouns and separate that from my interests??? So weird tbh ion vibe with it 💔

small rant here!!

Honestly, like... I hate it when my school's teachers yap about how were supposed to be feminine (Saudi school, by the way...). LIKE SHUT UP. SHUT UP. SHUT UP.

And the worst thing? It's always them talking about basic personal cleanliness or just behaving right. By putting a label on behaviors like "lady-like" or "man-like, " you are literally 100% going to make students want to just not listen, because honestly you've lost my attention when you said 'To be a proper lady you mus-' like yeah no. I'm immediately assuming anything coming out of your mouth is just rubbish atp.

Because let's face it, when was the last time you cared about a super religious teacher telling you you aren't ladylike enough? Probably never, right? And most girls don't care and intentionally misbehave just to disprove that teacher's point because they don't really like her, and since they hate her and anything she says is just going out of the other ear...

Instead of telling people to be more "lady-like" or "man-like, " just tell them to be more compassionate or understanding or more disciplined or more emotionally aware, because people will 100% listen to that advice and actually behave like proper citizens instead of you telling them to be an outdated stereotype.

and I think also this is why many people can't express themselves in some places, out of fear their behaviours will get misrepresented as 'boy-ish' or 'girly'. and its maybe a cause for bullying.. like being too much of a 'tomboy' or being too much of a 'sissy' yk?

To drive my point forward consider this ..the vocabulary of English includes roughly 1 million words (although most linguists would take that estimate with a pinch of salt).. 1 million words and you use a outdated one? bffr

I don't use these adjectives to describe people. I make fun of people who use them. And I do so in a very obnoxious way.

I usually use it for things like describing products made for men, and saying I present myself as masculine, is that not ok?

..People associate gendered terms based on personality instead of the gender of the person?? Idfk man I always use gendered terms to support people’s gender identity and fashion preferences and always aligned it w their identity not with their personality🤧 I think the main issue here is that ppl are associating one thing (personality traits) with another thing that doesn’t align with it at all (gendered terms) but thats jus me u do u king🙏🤍
