Com on dude, you know better then this! As professionals, we taught to have extreme patience and extreme caution. He apparently missed that class. You hit a school bus in a construction zone, the judge ripped him a new one.

The driver, David Dunlop, was only cited, should have jail time. Don't know the status of his CDL, hope it was revoked.

So this guy, not only was inpatient and decided break laws to go around the car waiting to turn and illegally gets into the straight lane to turn and pass the car that was in front of him still waiting to. So in the end, he hits a bus that had the right-of-way.... Impatience gets you no where.

Small world I was there when that happened! I was off camera to the right hand side going up a ramp to get on the highway in a roll-off Waste Management truck. Saw the whole thing couldn't believe my eyes, he was in too much of a hurry and the truck with the dashcam blocked his view of the school bus as he went around the other car couldn't see the school bus behind the truck and as he came out through the intersection of school bus popped out and there was. I drove trucks for many years and one of the things I always learned was never being too much of a hurry.

The fact that while I was at Disney, a truck literally did the same thing and hit a Disney bus. He’s definitely done, he was on Disney property and did something illegal. I was shocked.

Wow! A semi right in the side of your face. That was a pretty good whack. Driver recovered her composure pretty darn quick! So did the woman that got knocked out of her seat. Good thing there were only a few kids on the bus. Get hit, take the bus out of gear and put in park, set brake, asses situation, call dispatch and get response rolling. Good job. Woman that got knocked out of her seat. She picked herself up and got with the program quick too. Truck driver? Just plain driving stupid. Enough said.

Been driving a school bus going on 38 years now.
SOOOO many horrible, rude, "ME FIRST" drivers on the road. Cars AND truck drivers just HATE if they have to wait 20 seconds for a school bus to load/unload kids. We ALL have to practice common courtesy and patience. LEAVE A FEW MINUTES EARLIER. It's not that hard!!
NEVER pull in front of a school bus if you plan to turn right away.

From what I understand it was proving the light was broken and both sides had a green light... Not excusing it you should be looking both ways.... I always expect people to drive-through red lights.... That assumption has saved me several times

And this guy had the nerve at the trial to blame the trucking company for improperly maintaining Vehicle... Really? he Came to a stop in the turn lane behind a car backed up went around the car and then turned into a bus is he is he totally nuts he must’ve been on some drugs

Not only did he break road rules from his impatient rage, he hit a school bus of all things. I hope he gets imprisoned with no bail for endangering children.
