I was just telling this to my nieces yesterday as I was showing them the two goldfish in my 125g! I love it so much and they requested pictures of when these goldfish start to change, they’re still pretty small and that standard gold-ish beige color I love when they change!

Don't know if you already do this and I know it's unsolicited advice, but feeding my fish spirulina has always brought out amazing color in them. Fish who were bland or with fainter markings became very bold in coloration and even developed markings that weren't there. Spirulina made them look so beautiful and healthy, just thought I'd suggest it in case you ever wanted to try it for yourself. I wonder how it'll turn out for your fish.

I purchased a common goldfield 7 years ago, he was smol, and golden black... I got him on Halloween so I named him midnight :3... He is now jackolantern orange.

Yep, happened to my pearlscale too. When we bought him he was half black half gold, now he is fully gold-orange
