HOW TO GET SPONSORED

I hope that you like my state of the art graphics for this video. They cost me a ton of cold hard cash to put up for you! I will be making some more tutorial videos for you all soon. I hope you're doing well and I hope this video answered some questions for you about skateboard sponsorship.

The Purpose of Braille Skateboarding is to grow the number of people who skateboard by teaching, motivating, and inspiring. We do this by making skateboard tutorial videos covering every how to skateboard video under the sun moon and stars. By learning ourselves and showing that no matter how old or young, you can learn to skate. Part of this is also providing a suggested path to take in learning to skate. Then we inspire NEW people to learn to skate by making videos outside the very small world of skateboarding. We turn an ipad into a skateboard, skate on a big screen TV, and even a door. We focus not only on the creativity here but building the board and then all the way through to seeing what tricks can be done on it. Skaters have always been a creative bunch of people they take the normal ideas of society and change it to create their own world. Most people see a set of stairs we see a kick flip going down them. Our goal here is to take people that may never of thought of skateboarding before and get them on a board.

I have created many ways to achieve the above goal and will list them all below. Different ways for different people so have a look through and see what fits you best.

kids listen skating isn't about getting sponsored if think its to late for you to get sponsored or you don't think you will keep sponsored. don't worry about it skateboarding is just about have fun NOT get sponsored

Skating is about fun, and it's fun to get free boards and clothes. You don't have to become pro. In fact, probably one out of one hundred serious skaters become pro.

Skaters these days, all they want to do is get sponsored. Skateboarding is about having fun and having a good time while doing it I mean, it would be cool to get sponsored just go outside skate, and have fun you film something cool? cool then you can send it in but don't bust ass just to get sponsored.

your best bet at sponsorship is at a competition, preferably a comp with sponsors involved. you won't pick them, they'll pick you. they will pick you based upon the style and tricks that you do. I recently went to a competition in Malaysia and was noticed by a clothing company, they sponsor me based upon the way I skated and the "genre" of tricks I did. I mainly did boneless centred tricks and no rail tricks. use me as an example, I'm not a great skater, but I was what they wanted in a skater, it's taken 6 years and I'm as proud as I'll ever be of myself

To everyone saying skateboarding is all about having fun, I agree but to some people like myself we want it to make it our future. Personally I’ve been skating everyday for 5 years and have seen many talented people give up on skateboarding. To all the people that want to skate, just know it’s not gonna happen over night, many pros have been skating 10+ years, so be patient :)
