Amy Cooper was formally charged with a criminal misdemeanor for falsely reporting an incident to police. Prosecutors say Cooper admitted "that at no time did the man, later identified as Christian Cooper, try to assault her."

Okay everyone in the comments, I think it's already a given that she was physically hurting that poor dog but I don't think that was the main point of this case. I think we should be discussing more about her false accusation which could have led to the man's arrest, assault, or even murder by the police.
