Correct me if I'm wrong but I recall reading (no citations here, so take it with a grain of salt) that since entropy can be described as a distribution of probable states even though we generally consider the total entropy of the universe to either increase or equal to zero for any real process, there is still an infinitesimally small chance that it may decrease although so highly improbable that we just say it always increases.

So would you say it's an absolute law nonetheless or was that memory wrong to begin with?
