Michael Angelis passes away (1944 - 2020) (UK) - BBC News - 31st May 2020

An actor on screen for many decades in many television programs alone, he may be most remembered (in his later career at least), in the UK and around the world, as the narrator in the Thomas and Friends program, which he narrated for over 20 years. He died yesterday from a heart attack, a month after his birthday.

He truly was a Really Useful person. His narration for Thomas The Tank Engine & Friends was very great. And everyone in the fandom loved him. As a kid I remember his voice when I watched most of the episodes from the UK.

RIP Michael Angelis, think he got out of the show at the right time and in it the right time, just not the same anymore. That was one death I never saw coming, a bit like when Andy Cunningham of Bodger and Badger died 2 years ago nearly 3 RIP. My god! I didn't know he'd passed away. Thomas was a big part of my early childhood watched it up until i was 10 and i'm happy to say it was Michael's Narration I heard first.
