Greece: The End of Austerity - As the Greek crisis threatens to sink the euro, this report looks at the promises that brough Syriza into power.

This behind the scenes report charts the rise and rise of Syriza in the run up to their historic win at the Greek polls. Intimate access to party activists and leaders reveals how the anti-austerity party won over Greece in 22 days.

Less than a month until the snap-election, the far left anti-establishment party that recorded just 4% of the Greek vote a decade before began its latest campaign for power. Led by the young and charismatic Alexis Tsispras, Syriza had to allay the climate of fear and financial uncertainty that had formed around their party in an attempt to beat Greece's two major parties. "The game is over" says Tsispras to an emotional crowd at his final rally. "Greece is standing on it's own two feet again, with pride, with certainty, with dignity" he says, to roars of appreciation. This is the backstage story to Greece's momentous sea-change, one that saw a dejected electorate unite and turn their backs on the established order in search of a new hope.

Watching it now makes the ND campaign look like they absolutely hit the nail on the head. But people do not realize it until now...

I predict that Syriza will invent a new word for austerity which they will fall in love with.

Austerity only works with reasonoably honest governance, with low corruption and clientelism, where taxing income works. It is not Brussels or Schauble who is to blame, but the greek politicians (all of them). Greece needs a revolution..  a cultural revolution..  a bath of honesty..  but outside the Euro zone.

Exit the Jew-EU, and issue your own currency. Make credit/loans available to the citizens at 1-2%. It's the best chance for Greece.
