For 1440p and 4k Gaming the FPS difference seems negligible. Maybe I will wait until AM6.

I have a 5900x and a 4070 with a 1440p ultrawide monitor. I don't see any reason to upgrade to a 9900x3D in January yet, presuming the performance isn't going to be any better than the 9800x3D (more cores actually slow system down with 3D cache). When are we going to get a processor that can reduce C++ build times to a minute (lol) ?
