We're kinda similar, but you're more hardworking than me.
I graduated with a 2.6 GPA from Electrical Engineering school.
My first "job" was a year-long unpaid remote internship with a US-based robotics startup.
After that, I finally landed a real job with a robotics startup in my dream destination, Japan. Been here for 2 years.
Last November I got an offer to work in R&D at Honda, which I'll start next February and I'm super pumped about :)

Bruuuuh are you seriously telling me you did absolutely no leetcode and were already promoted to senior developer at target? that's wild

From now on, I will focus mostly on my job search and building projects while keeping leetcode to a compromised amount. I will fight like my life depends on it and as if I’m going to die if I don’t get a job in 5.5 months.

Can you make a video on your process of studying for the interviews? I struggle so much with the coding assessments and would love to hear your perspective!

great video! I like the quality of the lessons here. I am actually tired of seeing thumbnails of entry level advice videos, they all have very similar lessons. but this one's different! thanks Pooja! 🎉🎉

I started leetcoding early 2022 as a freshman in college and wanted to prepare myself well for the future. Unfortunately, I haven’t gotten anywhere, and I just graduated from a top 5 college in cs with a 3.8 gpa. I’m honestly such a loser at the job searching, but I guess that shows gpa isn’t everything. Thanks so much for the insight and your videos. I’m genuinely happy for you!

This is awesome, even getting a bit of the point of view from the hiring side is invaluable.

Wait, so you got a remote job in Greece, or were you in Greece when you got a remote job?

Love the video. I started watching your videos a year ago, and now I’m in the final year of my Computer Science degree. I’m about to start practicing on LeetCode, aiming to secure a position at a large company. My secret weapon is my research project, where I’m implementing data structures and algorithms. I’m particularly interested in Google, Microsoft, and IBM, and I hope to join their agriculture development teams. Wish me luck!

So inspiring! Thank you so much for sharing this. As others have mentioned, this really stands out from the typical YouTube videos on the topic. I’m sure I’ll revisit this video often, it’s such a valuable resource as I prepare to enter the software development market. It will undoubtedly be mentally challenging, but this gives me so much motivation and perspective. Truly grateful for your insight!
