11 - Merge Tables in Excel using Power Query

In this video, I will show you how to merge different Excel tables using Power Query.

Unlike appending the tables, where the columns needs to be in the same format, when you merge tables with Power Query, it need not be in the same format. If there is one common column in the tables, you can easily map these tables and merge these.

It would have been faster if you would add another column and just use vlookup function instead. I know it was because this could be use for large dataset that may be the idea begind it. Isn't it? and thank you so much for your work sir.

Thank you for the video. When I merge report 1 (RentRoll) and Report 2 (Roster), I didn’t get ‘The selection has matched 441 out of the first 441 rows’. The numbers don’t match. How can I fix it? I know the Roster Report has customers who are on hold. But the rent roll doesn’t include customers on hold. How can I add customers on hold in the merge report please? Thank you!

What if the two tables have different no. Of rows?
For ex: table A has 10 rows later I have table B (update of table A) with 15 rows
Is it possible to merge table A with table B and still show all rows!? Or should we check the table which has max. no. Of rows and then merge it with table with less no. Of rows!?
