I actually went through this recently with the social security administration. My mother remarried when I was 8 years old. My birth certificate changed, but my social security card never changed my last name. Didn't become a problem until I turned 18. I have fought with the social security administration for TWENTY FIVE YEARS to get a card. I finally gave up and legally changed my name back to my birth name to "fix" it. The judge knew EXACTLY what was up. He even said it "You're here changing your name because dealing with me is easier than trying to deal with our federal government". Yeah, someone figured it out.

Many years ago, I sold a motorcycle to someone. They never registered it in their name and died in a crash out of state with no identifying documentation. It was reported that I was dead because the motorcycle was registered to me. I can relate proving your not dead can be a struggle.

Back in the 70's, my family was informed that I had been killed in an airplane crash (electronic reconnaissance) in Iceland while in the USAF. And a Air Force friend in Ft Lee, VA read an article that said I was the only survivor of said crash (I'd never even been in Ft Lee). The truth of the matter was the only thing killed was a couple bottles of Jack and some 12 year Chivas at the O club that night as the entire crew (all 17 of us) celebrated being alive. But to be fair, the next morning we all felt like death.

Shitty legal advice: Start stealing things from the judge’s house, see if s/he starts to recognise that you legally exist

If someone is legally dead, how can their testimony be recognized by a judge in court? Just a thought

The spite of the French cannot be underestimated.
When they say "you're dead to me" they REALLY mean it.

There is no such thing as common sense when dealing with courts or government

If she were legally dead, then could she commit any crime without fear of punishment?

Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated.

In a cheesy French accent: "Now go away, or I shall taunt you a second time!"

When I was young I remember a story about a man who was declared dead accidentally by the Social Security administration doing a typo. He went to court a number of times and they would not declare him alive because he did not have enough proof so he finally told the judge and the IRS fine if I'm not alive I no longer have to pay taxes. He was immediately declared alive again.

Here a situation I found myself in here in the Netherlands. Some years ago I was declared emigrated to unknown destination when my mailbox was too full for a while and a letter from the city got returned to them. Apparently they send you a letter to inform you an how you can appeal to it and within what time period, but of course my mailbox was too full and it didn't get delivered. Since I didn't really need my registration of residence for much I didn't notice at first, until things like my health insurance got cancelled because I was supposedly out of the country for an extended time.

Getting re-registered was nearly impossible since I effectively had to re-immigrate into a country I had never left. I couldn't declare what country I had been in the period I had been declared emigrated, since I had never left and I had to show a new lease for my apartment, which I had already been living in for over a decade, so all the paperwork was dated far too early.

It took a couple of years before I managed to get the housing company I rent my apartment from to make some kind of custom updated paperwork with a new date and updated rent specifications. They only started to take me seriously when due to complications of my lack of residency status I couldn't pay my rent anymore. Then I had to convince a city clerk to accept a re-immigration form with the same country as origin and destination. It took a while before I could find someone who would believe such a situation was possible. They still couldn't do anything about the period I had been declared emigrated so that will probably cut into my social security check amounts once the time for retirement arrives, despite paying the payroll taxes for it. So that battle is still ahead of me.

I had a neighbor who was shocked to see her brother who had been dead for 7 years pull up to her apartment riding a Harley. Seems he was a disabled veteran who had not answered letters from Social Security - they declared him dead. I met the guy and was told the story. There has to be more to that story.

I wonder if when she is alive again, she will sue the lady who said she was dead?

Does a sovereign citizen need a driver's license if he is declared dead by the government he isn't governed by?
