Really glad she doesn't say you SHOULD like many men and old women told me. Exercise made my period hurt a lot more and caused full body cramps. Never doing it lol

I always used this excuse for PE, but it was due to exertion making clots come out during the day as well as the lack of expensive products (cheap pads of the 80s) and leakage - not because I was unable.

Tbh, I'm still not gonna do the bullshit some of the sanitary product ads think I do on my cycle. It's Netflix and some comfortable clothes for me.

It's 2024. I don't even understand why we still have to tell people this. I'm 54 and period free (THANK GAWD) but jeez....can these stupid period myths just go away already.

I deal with migraines and my cycle is one of my triggers. The migraines are so bad that I can’t see to safely operate exercise equipment so I do actually alter my life that week

Exercise usually made my mild-moderate cramps hurt less. (Maybe would’ve helped the extreme cramps too but I never had the motivation to move when the pain was at that point)

When I was doubled over in pain, you couldn't pay me any amount of money to exercise. It hurt to even use the bathroom. Fuck that shit.

I just hiked the hardest nearby peak on mine and felt better after the hike than before. Sometimes though I feel awful and just curl up with a heat pad.

When I exorcise during my period I get the absolute worst debilitating cramps ever so I just try to rest during that time

I guess it was difficult before because the products were so bad and you would end up all stained or who knows. I don't want to do anything on my period, but I know I can.

The first day I have less energy, so I tend to do a little less, but I don't stop.

If cramps are going while im on my period im not gonna move. 2-3 days before i start, to 2-3 days into my period is the extreme time. So i do what i think i can and want to do, more of a just surviving the period tbh. Specially when i was younger and had extreme cramps that made me scream/moan and throw up from pain. Activity made the period and other side effects like lower back pain and inner thigh pain so much worse. Now days my period is not as bad some times, and ill move some. But moving is not the same as working out, aint doing it 😐

Sometimes it's dangerous for my husband to exercise his freedom of speech to/at me when I'm on my period. 😂

Actually some studies have noticed a higher occurrence of injury in professional athletes when exercising during their periods. The recommendation is to not push yourself too hard during your period, especially if you're a professional athlete.

But indeed, that doesn't mean that doing any sports at all is dangerous during your period.
