The way this works is because you broke that wooden block the house becomes invalid making it so when you use a magic mirror or recall potion you will spawn at ur original spawn
When you do teleport back the door closes causing the sand block to fall and take the wooden blocks place validating they house again meaning you will spawn at the bed you set your spawnpoint at

If it doesn't work you can put door 1 block from top corner and break corner block and put sand above that block on door

This is gonna be super helpful in my master mode playthrough with my brother. Not having enough wormhole potions is difficult lol
