I’ve known how to do hospital corners for over 50 years. But the first thing I do when getting in bed is untuck the sheets lol. Hate the feeling of being trapped😊

We do this method in hospitals and nursing homes🤗

💕I’ve been a nurse for 25 years, bed making with hospital corners was in the first semester along with bed baths, massages and vital signs. When we make beds we also put the flat sheet on backwards, so the seams are on top and away from the patient. This helps to prevent skin breakdown. 💕

All nurses in South Africa know this, it’s part of practical exams called “bed making procedure” I’ve retired but I still make my bed this way stretch and pull sheets to be straight, no creases, we used to call it an envelope corner. My husband teases me by calling me. Florence Nightingale whenever I make bed at home.😂😂😂❤

That’s how I was taught to make my bed. No nurse or hospital involved. Just a perfect bed better than any fitted sheet

My mum taught me this method when I was about 9 years old. I'm now nearly 70!

A long time ago, I asked my bed if it cared if it was never made right... I'm still waiting for the answer 😊.

I learned this as a little girl from my grandmother. She was wonderful and each time I change my bed I think of her and the love she shared. I'm 70 and still don't like to get into an unmade bed and love the tucked in feeling.

I knew this from the tender age of 4 at the hands of my grandmother who taught me how to make a proper bed. Still think of her every time I put fresh sheets on a bed.

I am working on mastering it but it really makes a bed look so much nicer overall. Nice job!

When making a nice tight corner on the top sheet, add some comfort. Whether at the hospital or at home, put a 4 inch fold about 6 inches from the end of the mattress, then make the tight tucked corner. When you get in you'll find you can point your toes towards the ceiling without your ankles being forced by the tight sheet to point them parallel with the floor. Of course adjust the location and size of the fold - 4 inches or 10 to suit!

They taught this in Boot camp to all USMC privates. That was 1975, and I still make my bed this way.

Exactly how I make my bed, I have not used a “fitted” bottom sheet for years. Stays made WAY better too!!
