I have one of these (Seafury), upgraded it with a quality 30A ESC. It's really too fast on a 4S, since its so small and hard to see you literary need to turn after just a few seconds.

On 3S they are more nimble with the lighter battery and still crazy fast, lands with less impact as well. I actually ordered a second one to be flown stock on 3S setup.

Beautiful planes and they fly really well when trimmed in, but fly really nervously before they are (as mentioned in the video).

@justinspirational Yes, you can program the ESC to stop the motor from turning when there is no throttle applied.

At the model flight club I go to we had two of these in the air plus a bixler and an apprentice with ridiculous rates on it (that I was flying) plus a few other aircraft. The bixler dropped a parachute man and then the 7 planes that were in the air were having combat trying to get the parachute with our props. That really was chaos.

I was told by many not to use the brake setting on the ESC. Doing so will inhibit the prop from moving out of the way when the plane lands. I myself don't use the brake setting and have not broken a prop yet.

The Sea fury fun Fighter is one of the most awesome planes ive ever flown. once trimmed up they fly on rails.. super fast. 200kph

if your talking about the bump near the root, its for scale appearance. i think it was a radiator on the real plane.

I'm not sure how many people really noticed these planes. It's really going to be a hit. 4 cell, is the way to go on these planes. It gets the prop small so it looks scale. And it's going to be that much faster so wind penetration is going to be better

Hi I have watched every episode of FliteTest, and I have a suggestion:
How about setting up a digital anemometer permanently such that all flight review videos always have an OSD showing the wind speed and direction, so that Josh&Josh can talk less about the wind, and more about the planes.

Great video - love the Hawker. One nitpick, though; The offset prop is done to counter slipstream, asymmetric thrust and P factor, not torque. Keep up the great work!

None of these spinners have been out of balance. All you have to do it try it out and see how it sounds. If it sounds bad then turn it 180 degrees and try again. That will fix it. And also only balance a prop that sounds like it is out of balance. most props that I get are balanced just fine from the factory....
