Just got this build done myself. Video helped a ton. Building it as a trainer for my wife, and I think she'll do great with it. Flies super slow, and absolutely no poor stall characteristics. Doesn't glide without power, but doesn't just fall out of the sky either. Solid design. Thanks josh and josh!

Just finishing my build today. The build video certainly helped out on a couple of occasions. Thanks a lot Flitetest gang. I'd love to see a Scratch build of a foamboard flying wing using the turnigy aero drive sk3 2836-2500kv motor. This was my first foam board scratch build ever and I was surprised how cheap, easy, and fast the build was. This is great for some rc guys to try other things out without committing a lot of money to it. For instance, I've been thinking about the zephyr flying win

Thanks @RCFindsen for the depron tip! With the flaps if you mix upwards (spolier) on the top surface it might work, but would it just be easier to make moving slats at the front of the wing (like when a jumbo jet comes into land it moves the leading edge of the wing forwards and downwards to create a second airfoil infront of the main one, has the same effect as flaps but without changing the angle of attack)

Do you mean for Horizon or Hobbyking? Dave Herbert "Nightflyyer" compared them, and now he's hooked on the Orange RX's. I wouldn't be surprised if they came pretty close.

But remember, you must also give the Orange RX a satellite receiver since it's still less than half the price of the cheapest 6ch Spektrum one.

@flyboyfx I would use 6mm as it is a bit stronger and it doesn't really matter about the weight of it.

I did not see how you mounted the servos in the holes are they just glued
I have never flown an RC plane before you videos make it look easy and fun
and the FPV is just very cool never new it existed before very interested in FPV would love to see more on that. Thanks looks like I will be spending some money soon lol

won't it be easier to mount a live stream recorder to a computer/ central control unit then fly it in the FPV? that way it will feel like you are flying in a flight simulator and since it is a trainer it would be a good idea to train in the FPV.
