This video is exactly what 1984 represents. It was like they said everything cheerfully even when it was all wrong. I can't tell if this is genius or a flopped attempt

Most of the time I had the feeling that this video re-purposes animations that originally had nothing whatsoever to do with the 1984 story and depicted entirely different characters. Also, I am incredibly certain that Orwell would have said so if O'Brien was actually intended to be a black man. (Since O' Brien is in many ways the greatest villain of the story, you should choose another character to racebend if you need to introduce "diversity.")

From jr. high and all through high school this book was assigned reading. I never got past page 5. This is one of the most boring awful books ever written. The worst part is I graduated in 1984 and the commencement speaker, who was older than God’s parents, decided to spend his stumbling, stammering speech on the ENTIRE book. 😑
