Your content is great my man. If I watched stuff like this when I was learning to play in High School (1996-2000) it would have helped so much. I didn’t have money for lessons so just spent a lot of time on the court trying to figure out how to get better. There is such a “paywall” in tennis in my experience, if the ATP wants more kids playing the sport they should support people like you making content that is freely accessible and doesn’t require a membership to a club, expensive private lessons, and knowing the right people. Hoping you can find a way to thrive in this climate as it sounds like financially the tour is unrealistic long term. I’m a fan, wish you the best and looking forward to more of your work.

I didn’t even realize that was you in those college tennis videos! I always love rewatching all of those Matt Lin college tennis videos :)

Hi Karue, I've been playing tennis since I was 10 (now I'm 38). I have never seen anyone break down the complexities of the strokes and tactics in such a simple and digestible format. You and Mouratoglou are the rock stars of tennis internet coaching. Much respect for the work you do, and my backhand has gotten so much cleaner as a result of watching you and practice.

Well explained. There are many "tennis coaches" on Youtube over analyzing shots, tactics and techniques

Amazing video, really feel it will help me with my mindset on the court. I'm always getting thrown off by mishits, mine or my opponents.

Commentary during match play or point play is honestly some of the most useful thing imo. And something that I don't see very much of on YT, at least from respectable sources such as yourself. Thank you for the great content! Subscribed ;)

This has been a real eye opener & really good advice. “Your norm/groove” vs shots & easy balls that are not aligned with it & how to deal with them is basically everything in tennis. This explains why great players can lose to pushers that hit lousy shots all the time. I recently lost to someone claiming to be 3.5-4.0 competitive, while I am 4.0 or very close to being one overall. Turns out he was just someone that was fast and hits like a 3.0. I ended up hitting his bad & randomly placed shots that ended up everywhere, out, but this also has to do with night fall coming + the moisture in the air that came with it. The results of that + his awkward shots = my shots kept going out. If I had just kept the ball more neutral instead of playing my game in an uncomfortable territory, make him try to win it instead, I wouldn’t have lost.

I said it before, the live comments during the points really provide excellent insight into how to develop the points.

Good tip about 'manage' and 'attack'. I've heard this before but totally forgot it. Watching you make me realize that I don't have any 'weapons' like your deep ball cross court and backhand down the line. I'll practice some 'weapons' so I can apply your tactics. Thanks. Subscribed.

Thinking about combo is so important. Even strong amateur do the mistake after hitting a very great shot they "stop playing" and then they arrive late to an "easy" or "weak" ball, and end up losing a point they "shouldn't lose" and from that point it gets in their head and it's all going down from there.

Great video, Karue! Really shows how much tennis is a game of the unexpected, full of opportunities--both earned and missed.

Great series, Karue! We have been upping our live feed and point play drills in practice and it is amazing to see the increase in improvement compared to balls being fed. Don't get me wrong they have their place, but we are probably more like 80/20 now during our practices. Thanks again!

Really useful. Thank you. I just had the herky jerky experience that you mentioned during the match. I played well in practice and also the match but I just couldn’t adjust well enough to the other player’s slicing, dicing and excellent placement. It’s really good advice and hopefully with practice I’ll find ways to deal with it.

6:42, instant classic. Karue, I was laughing so hard I basically missed the rest of the video. This was some unedited magic right there. Cheers and thanks for yet another great video!

Really, really good stuff.

Please make some serve and serve tactics (choice of serve, serve+1, return+1) videos in the future. This is pure gold.
