My edges will never be the same again. Thank you!

Excellent tip. I love your quick and simple presentation. May I suggest a topic?

Sometimes when joining meshes you end up with vertices that fall on an edge, but do not actually intersect it. To remedy this, I would spend loads of time subdividing the edge and snapping the new vertex to the one that should be intersecting, then merge by distance.

Then I watched a video without many views of a guy modeling a stadium. Somewhere in the middle of it, he changed my entire life (in Blender). His remedy, as he had hundreds of these non-intersecting vertices, is to (in Edit Mode) open "Options", check "Auto Merge" and "Split Edges and Faces". Next, select all vertices, then grab with G, hit zero, and press enter. Done. I don't know if it's something most people already know, but it took me a long time to find as a beginner for sure.

The looptools addon can do this for curved lines for those who need

Saving this. I somehow forget this shorcut all the time

correct, but then just snap it to the correct height with surrounding geometry, or if you know one if those vertices is correct, dont select it when scaling

I would have selected faces on top and loop tools flatten

Why does their default shader look like that?? It looks so nice

Don't forget to snap vertices along the others vertices on the Z axis, Median point may be a little off in most case

I JUST HAD AN ISSUE I COULD’VE USED THIS FOR A COUPLE DAYS AGO AND IT WOULD’VE LOOKED SO COOL, NOW ITS TO LATE 😭

Place the cursor on the ones that are not affected. Then scale on the axis against the cursor, not the origin.

and now do that along a non planar edge that doesnt follow any of the 3 defined axis.

No. It will count the average position for all of them, it's not necessarily on the same high as the rest of the mesh's side

Dude, you don't need to use the intercom to talk to the whole school when you can just use your mouth to talk to the blender class

Quick question, when aligning vertices via this method, how is it decided where it will align?
The selected vertices get aligned, but does it align them on the axis going through a highlighted point, does it average it out, or how exactly does the software choose?

Someone remind me how they shortcuted to select an edge. I forgot 😅

But how do you select vertices and edges as a set instead of individually, like in the video along entire side or a contour?

When I hit z, the options for shading (wireframe, solid render view, material preview ) show up and won’t let me do this shortcut. Any advice for this ?
