Aesthetics of Windows 95:

You get up in the morning, it's cloudy outside, it's raining. After smoking a cigarette on the porch under the awning, you go home, turn on the PC, the Windows 95 boot screen appears on the screen in a black veil, you go to the kitchen, make coffee with a sandwich, come back and the PC is ready to work)

Ahh, the Aptiva. Our first PC in 97-98 after having owned only Mac. Haven't switched back since.

My family has the the same set up! No longer have the monitor though, i miss it. Those blueish looking buttons would control the brightness and contrast, i would fool around with them when i was little.
