Joe was in the throes of serious drug and alcohol addiction when the Eagle came knocking; his solo career was on the rocks. The Eagles became his lifeline, and he did the work, sobered up, and still has the job. Joe is a great example for others suffering addiction, and good on him for reaching out to others to help them as well.
