How can we be sure that they were not copied on pictures taken? We know people around him are not trustworthy people!?

Okay. I don't know why people are so hung up on whether the documents were "sensitive" enough, The former president had documents that belong to us, the people. He wasn't supposed to take them. When it was found he had, he was asked to return them. He felt he had the right to negotiate the return, as though they were his property. Then the government came and got a large quantity of material along with a statement that everything had been returned. When sifting through the materials, it became clear all had not been returned as promised. He was asked to return the rest; he was urged to return the rest; he was subpoenaed to return the rest. He blew them off. This material is not his "memorabilia". The memorialization of his presidency is part of this nation's history, shameful as it may be. As a person who has had a security clearance, I'm even more appalled he had less concern about handling classified documents than I did as a 19-year-old airman. But what concerns me most is those who have sworn an oath to serve this nation are so willing to defend these actions for no other reasons than political ones. It both angers and frightens me.

There is no defending the indefensible! Reference page 408 Title 18 - Crimes and Criminal Procedures US Code 2071 Section B: Concealment, Removal, or Mutilation of documents generally: Whoever having the custody of having any such records preceding book, paper or any other thing willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, falsifies or destroys the same shall be fined under this title or imprisoned for not more than three years or both and shall forfeits office and be disqualified from holding office under the United States.

Wouldn't the documents all be marked with "Declassified" across each page of each document if they were truly declassified? Even if they were declassified, would any documents have been allowed out of the White House or the National Archives?

Wow! Very coherent and informative interview. Congressman Schiff stayed on topic, didn’t make blustering pronouncements and was quite candid about his assessment of Afghanistan. It’s refreshing to listen to an intelligent politician!
