- There are numerous videos out there that purport to show how to quickly peel a mango. However, many people who make videos just love to hear themselves talk.  So, even though the title of the video might be: "Peel a mango in under 10 seconds" These people blather so much that the video itself takes 5 minutes to get through!

REGARDING THE GIANT SEED: it’s easier than it seems!
1) Make a short cut at the bottom of your mango so it has a flat base to stand on.
2) Place the edge on top of it.
3) Feeling the seed right under it, slightly move your knife away and cut through.
4) Repeat on all sides (“front”, “back”, “sides”).
This will take you seconds.

Why wouldn't you include cutting the mango in half? Is it because that's the most difficult step to peeling a mango? I think it is. Trying to cut the mango and getting as close to and as much of the fruit off the seed as possible is the real pita in my opinion.

So in Hawaii I once had to peel 50-60 Mangos. And if the mango is ripe, all you need is your hand. Just slide it under the skin. I think that was even faster, and you get 100% fruit retention.

No one ever shows how you peel the other half of the mango, the half with the pit, using a glass. You can't separate the pit using a glass so you're stuck with the slow and tedious knife method, right?

One may need different sized glasses for mangoes of different sizes. Also level of ripeness may be an important aspect that is to be considered while trying this

Why does your mango not have a seed? Did you cut it in those "halves" and threw away the seed first or is this a genetically modified mango?

John Kino Wow that is clever. But my problem is cutting them open in half it always has a bloody big stone and hard mango around it in the middle and I can never cut it open without making a mess! I give up so I just don't eat Mangos! Is there a secret? You should show how you got such a smooth looking half mango!!

Brother I clicked on this video watched the whole thing and my first thought " yeah this way too simple let me go watch s different video. " then I leave so how long the other video are and my second thought was " okay things other video way too long, let me give me a chance. " watch this video a second I grab a cup and a knife and I'm surprised but how well this method works! My third thought was " brother this real works!" I quick went from not liking mango since they too hard to peel and eat to being happy I learned a method they is safe, fast and easy!!!! It really Thank
