I live in the uk and I can safely say athletic wear is a huge part of the fashion especially yoga pants. It is also not uncommon to see mother's dropping kids off to school in pyjamas and sneakers/tennis shoes are worn on a daily basis not just for exercise. Perhaps European city's may differ but for the general population comfortable clothing is the norm.

I would disregard a lot of this. American fashion has filtered its way into the European wardrobe, namely in university brand named clothing. Same with footwear everyone wears casual shoes. Flip flops however are not very common unless it's seriously hot, like 25°C, which I'm sure is nothing for you guys but for us Irish it can be too much. I will point out that cobblestones are pretty common especially in old cities so be wary of that, plus there are steps everywhere so if your touring wear comfortable shoes. Lastly just wear whatever you want it doesn't really matter. I will add though, do your research on the local weather first and try be prepared cause if your coming to say Ireland, be prepared for cloudy skies, rain and the cold lol, can't go anywhere without an umbrella. Don't say I didn't warn you! 🤣 💚🤍🧡
