How to Shape a Cowboy Hat (Full Tutorial)

Today on SaintAndrewTV, I will walk everyone through shaping your very own cowboy hat. You can buy a standard hat from a western store or maybe you found an older, pre-owned one at a yard sale, this video will give you information on how to modify it to your liking.

Milliner work is a hobby of mine and is all self taught, so I thought I’d give a tutorial on the subject to make life just a bit easier for your average amateur hatter. This is very old trade, but it can be a useful skill in the right circumstance. It’s also a very fun and rewarding task.

I hope this was helpful for some of you and I’d like to see more people get into this very unique skill set.

How do you go from crown to brim ? .. to lengthen the crown you get wrinkles in the brim... to shorten it you'd need to stretch the brim ; which don't exspand much ...

I'm curious, I've been looking for the style of hat Jack Nicholson wore in the movie
"Ride the Whirlwind"
Maybe i could find the right kind of hat to shape it that way or see if someone had it somewhere or maybe custom make it for me.
