Custom Shaping a Rodeo King Cowboy Hat - High Roller Hat Shapers

For Neel's 50th birthday he wanted a REAL cowboy hat. So after much research and shopping, we lucked out and found the exact hat he was looking for: A Rodeo King, 60X Pecan with an open crown which he could have custom shaped to his liking. Fortunately José from High Roller Hat Shapers at Rough Stock Western Wear was able to do it while we waited and filmed. Enjoy watching the art of hat shaping...

Nice hat! Jose did a great job! I have been to this store once, my daughter loved the astronaut suit lol! I am like you guys, I wear a western hat everyday. I love ‘em! It’s almost time to swap the nice straw I have been wearing all summer for a felt hat and I think I need a new fresh hat myself 🙂 I need to make the short trip over to this shop and get one shaped soon. BTW, that Dragon shirt is very cool! I am assuming it refers to the Tail of the Dragon in TN since you guys ride. Take care and be safe out there.

Avec tout les fabricants de chapeaux de cowboys, il est difficile de s'y retrouver (lesquels sont les plus solides avec le temps et ne rétrécisses pas avec la première grosse pluie, et avec quel feutre ils sont fait ( lapin avec celui du castor, de laine etc).

I inherited an old Stetson with a huge 5” crown. Is there a shape/style/way to shape it so the crown is closer to 4-3/16” or 4-5/8”?
