I agree, take it slow. The guys need to stop looking at the ladies outer beauty, they're all beautiful on the outside, take your time to get to know her and see what her true beauty is, her inner beauty. It takes 3-6 months to find out a persons true character. You should be upfront about your intentions and expectations at the beginning of the relationship, I think most problems come from communication and cultural differences, and will take some time to understand them. The devotion comes from the heart, when the heart knows what it wants, there's no denying it. It's not just a relationship, it's a partnership as well, and both partners need to be treated as equals in all matters. You don't have to agree on everything, we're all different and look at things differently, the important thing is to communicate with each other about those differences with respect and acceptance of each others opinions on it, and after talking it over you can decide together what course of action to take for the best outcome for all.
