I ocasionally redline my car, it get's the engine breathing, well, unless you bump the revs, that's bad! Also, never redlining the car might build up carbon and make the car lazy and damage the engine over time if you push it harder. Car is like a loving being, if you dont push it sometimes, it will get lazy and sick, if you do, the car will have no problems when you do it, unless it's already lazy, you might damage it.

It’s never going to get to 7k in an auto and the redline is only 6.5k
