I’m going cybersecurity degree and certs. I already have IT experience. Several years of help desk and desktop experience plus MDM /w Intune experience. I plan on becoming a SOC analyst to get into a cybersecurity job and go up from there.

Hey Josh,
I’m currently a student at WGU (just started as well). I might change my degree from cybersecurity to CS to get a better understanding of computers in general (especially with no IT experience), and it also seems more fun since it’s heavy on math and logic lol. Still thinking about it.

Tried looking into Graduate CS degrees (undergrad in criminal Justice so limited cyber knowledge) but the pre-reqs were crazy for a lot of schools. Some schools won’t accept you without the pre reqs. Looking into info tech degrees with a software concentration, any thoughts?

Idk dude, people with CS degrees will say CS degrees are better, cyber security can be fun, especially when you get into ethical hacking.
