I have worked on the lubrication and durability of the engine equipped in this car. The maximum speed is set to 170 so the engine doesn't take too much rpm. It's already at 20k rpm a 160. You would have to put a some kind of gearbox for it to go above that.

This is the only time we did not need the speedo cam. I can tell you for free it was doing 170kmh. lol

Alpine has always nailed it when talking about handling. So on point. So good. Underrated alpine

I love Misha's approach, I remember him saying something like "I'm a car guy, I don't care if it's moved by petrol, diesel or electricity..." 👍

I've got a GTS on order... this video has made me a little more excited for it to arrive! Replacing a Model 3 Performance.... the UK roads are more fun with a 'hot hatch' style car.

I’ve seen the new Renault 5 turbo 3E under prototype wrap yesterday, it’s wiiide. Unfortunately it was charging so not rolling.

They must increase that top speed... 200 km/h would be nice.

The owners expressions make me wonder if he had any idea how Misha was gonna be driving the car

Nice one as usual.
1:24 That's not the mileage, that's the predicted range until the battery is empty. Based on the driving style of course, so it rapidly decreases under full throttle.

I have never been much of a fan of french cars but this one is a winner. I sat in the R5 at a auto show in Helsinki recently and it was very impressive inside and out. Especially in yellow.

Impressive, .didnt expect them to have that much rotation tuned in the chassi setup, would be great fun on twisty roads and normal sized tracks :)

Love it. On normal roads at normal road speeds, this would be superb

I feared the Alpine edition was more show than go, but this is actually impressive. The same engine in Megane E-tech is known for spinning it's wheels at the slightest, but this is so much better. Renault has now proven they can still make a proper hot hatch in the EV era. And R5 Turbo around the corner too. Exciting times.

FINALLY a (somewhat) affordable EV which performs like an actual car and not some hand-holding safety demonstration of the traction control system

really impressed about it, i first thought it will be a bad car at the nurb and im glad to see that my french brand Alpine still do a great job even with electric motors

I saw a yellow one local to me recently very big but I agree the best looking EV on the market hands down.

I was looking forward to this. I’ve driven this on Misto Alfa in Balocco and it was so much fun! And it was probably more appropriate than the Ring, but I’m happy that as a Sunday driver I had the same impressions you have! Brakes and suspensions are really great for an EV and the car puts a smile on your face!
