My copy of HoL (remastered edition) just arrived! 🙂 So pretty. On one hand this is probably the closest I'll ever get to owning a coffee table book, on the other hand, reading this is going to be ...ahem...we'll see! 😀

If you like historical books, I think you will like Doomsday book. I read it some months ago, and I really enjoyed it. But, I have to say I enjoyed the past story more than the present story. It is a good book.

You know what I dislike even more than the awful stickers - when publishers put pictures of the cast on the covers. My copy of JS&MN has the actors Strange and Norrell from the miniseries. I so want the black cover with the white bird but feel guilty about the extra expense (it's after all the text which matters blah blah and I have the ebook too) so I haven't bought it and just scowl at my physical copy. 😥

The last two are very beautiful. But omg you're doing HoL before IJ (which I bailed on)! If you do a TBR announcement, I would like to join if you don't mind (the 'read slowly' is encouraging and reading along would probably help me to not bail on it the moment things get wonky!)
