Wow. This makes me yearn for a return to the Big Easy. I haven't been there in years. I've actually thought about moving there. There's a great place you two should hit the next time. It's called Tipitina's and it has an incredible history and is a great place for live local music.

Went down to New Orleans in 2021 help out with hurricane Ida relief efforts. Drove my 72’ rig through the French Quarter (DO NOT RECOMMEND) but even after all of that the people couldn’t have been friendlier and their resilience is something to be admired. New Orleans forever has my respect.

Holden is happy. Love that line. My wife and I love the zoo too. This recommendation will make Holden happy. Most zoos in the USA include with a yearly family membership reciprocal agreements with other zoos. Zoo websites will have lists of other reciprocating zoos and the type of discounts offered. Most discounts are 50% off entrance fees and 10-15% off gift shop purchases. If you want to go to a zoo 2-3 times a year it is worth it. Great video as usual. Hope you read this comment

Holden, Emeril's Coastal over in Miramar Beach has a lot more relaxed dress code if want to try Emeril's on casual day trip. It's also Emeril's 'home' restaurant (he lives around the corner and rides his golf cart in) so there's a chance you can actually see him at dinner service.

Ha....NOLA resident here (8 years and counting)... My wife works in the French Quarter. Kinda the worst weather for beignets this past weekend, but...glad you had fun.

On your way there and back you passed Oasis Travel Plaza in Robertsdale Alabama which is one my favorite truck stops in the country. I'm an over the road trucker btw.

I love New Orleans. Wife and I have made it an every other year trip. The food is great... asking the locals for the best spot is probably one of the better things to do. Tours are always a good time and shopping never disappoints.
