In the second problem if do it by area the answer is 4 joules and if we do it by conventional approach the answer is 32/3. Please tell why both the answers are not the same and which is the correct one

The second problem as mentioned in your previous lecturers is that the energy is equal to the area under the graph so if we subtract the area of triangle from rectangle we'll get the same answer.

hey i am just wondering if you could answer my question regarding a signal that looks like this:

← 2→—3-

get the energy of this signal in one period. the pulse width of the combined triangle over a square wave is 3 (amp of square is 1 while amp of triangle is also 1).
this is a periodic wave.
note : what i have drawn is one period of the signal already. hope you could answer me cause i am really confused.
